At seven years old, she had her first experience as a disguise at Notting Hill Carnival where she spent numerous Carnivals before sitting on her dad's shoulder engrossing what has now become her all-consuming purpose.
Simon-Hartman is a British planner who makes wearable workmanship and structures ensembles for people and groups for London's yearly Carnival. A portion of her plans will be included in Beyonce's Black is King visual collection booked for selective discharge on Disney Plus on July 31.
A little girl of a Trinidadian mother and Ghanaian dad, Simon-Hartman said she knew from early that ensemble configuration was something she needed to do.
"Experiencing childhood in Carnival I was acquainted with the manifestations of the genuine mas men of the day like Wayne Berkeley, Peter Minshall, and Brian MacFarlane and was in a flash taken with their aesthetics. They made auditorium for the street, and I knew promptly this is the thing that I needed to do," she told Loop through email.
